The Uijeongbu-si Chapter (Head Yoon Sang Yong) held the ‘Gyeonggi 4th District Council Member Training for the 2H 2021’ at the Small Theater of the Seoul Arts Center at 13:30 on November 23rd (Tue). Then, in a special lecture on the end-of-war declaration and peace on the Korean Peninsula, Executive Vice-Chair Lee Seok Hyun said, “The declaration of an end to the war should be based on the support of the people,” asking, “The council members have commitment to peace and make efforts to build a consensus among the population” praising their devotion to peace and unification.

In the section of policy proposals and action plans, Lim Sang Woo, the secretary of the Dongducheon-si Chapter, made the policy suggestion of 'sisterhood relationship with virtual cities on the Korean Peninsula' followed by the presentation by Lee Pyung Soon, Vice-Chair of the Uijeongbu-si Chapter, on the 'Young Generation Unification Leader Academy and Peace Travel.' In an expert lecture on ‘the situation in North Korea and the end-of-war declaration,’ Kim Gap Sik, a senior researcher at the Korea Institute for National Unification, said, “We should promote nationwide actions for peace on the Korean Peninsula, such as an end-of-war declaration campaign together with civil society under the leadership of the PUAC.” Finally, participants chanted "Peace on the Korean Peninsula, Peace in the World” as an indication of the support of the council members of northern Gyeonggi Province for end-of-war declaration.
