The Incheon Dong-gu Municipal Chapter of the PUAC held a jajangmyeon sharing

volunteer activity titled “Taste of Peace: Dong-gu United Through Jajangmyeon.”

The Incheon Dong-gu Municipal Chapter of the PUAC (Chair Choi Hyun-mo) held a jajangmyeon-sharing volunteer activity titled “Taste of Peace: Dong-gu United Through Jajangmyeon” on Saturday, November 29, at Changyeong General Welfare Center, serving approximately 250 elderly residents living alone and other socially marginalized members of the community.

The event was joined by about 40 participants, including members of the Bluebird Volunteer Group and PUAC council members, who served meals with care and conveyed warmth to the local community.

Chair Choi Hyun-mo, who attended the event, stated in his remarks, “The Incheon Dong-gu Municipal Chapter of the PUAC places great importance on sharing with the local community, and I hope this jajangmyeon sharing activity provided warm comfort to our seniors and residents.” He added, “Though it is just a bowl of jajangmyeon, I hope that the sincerity and care it contains will connect people and serve as an opportunity for us to share in the values of peace and coexistence.”

Tae Il-sun, Secretary of the Bluebird Volunteer Group, remarked, “It was a very meaningful time to be able to serve a warm meal to our local seniors and neighbors.” She continued, “We will continue to work closely with the Incheon Dong-gu Municipal Chapter of the PUAC so that we can share hope and warmth with even more neighbors by contributing our efforts together.”

The event concluded warmly as seniors and residents shared meals and fellowship in a relaxed atmosphere. The municipal chapter plans to continue strengthening solidarity with the local community through a variety of resident-participatory volunteer activities in the future.
